Preparation method
  • Preheat oven to 180°C.
  • Prepare Basic Cheddar Cheese Sauce as per the recipe (see website).
  • Heat oil in a large saucepan over high heat.
  • Add onion and garlic and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until onion softens.
  • Add mince and cook, stirring with a wooden spoon to break up any lumps, for 5 minutes or until mince browns.
  • Add stock and bring to a boil.
  • Add tomato soup and tomato paste and stir to combine.
  • Bring to a simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes or until sauce thickens slightly.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add the spinach and stir to combine.
  • Set aside for 30 minutes to cool.
  • Fill cannelloni tubes with ¾ of the meat mixture.
  • Spoon the remaining meat mixture over the base of a 3 liter (12 cups) capacity ovenproof dish.
  • Arrange the cannelloni tubes over the base.
  • Pour over the cheese sauce.
  • Sprinkle with parmesan.
  • Bake in a preheated over for 30 minutes or until pasta is tender and the top is golden brown.
Make a meal plan
  • 200g packet instant dried cannelloni tubes
  • 3 cups of shredded spinach
  • 400g can of tomato soup
  • ½ cup (125ml) of beef stock
  • 500g beef mince
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 brown onion, finely chopped
  • 1 portion of Basic Cheddar Cheese Sauce
  • 3 tablespoons parmesan, finely grated
