Jebneye Stuffed with Kraft Cheese

• • In a large bowl, whisk together all of the ingredients, except for the flour, until the mixture becomes smooth.
  • Add the flour and knead the dough until it forms a smooth ball. Return dough to the bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size.
  • Roll out the dough with a rolling pin on a lightly floured board until it is 1 mm thick. Using a cookie cutter, cut the dough into circles.
  • Deep fry the Jebneye in oil, until it becomes fluffy and golden.
  • To prepare the sugar syrup: Combine the sugar, water, and lemon juice in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring occasionally, until sugar has dissolved. Once boiled, stop stirring and reduce the heat to low. Cook for 5 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
  • Pour the syrup into 2 glasses. Add 1½ tbsp cheese spread to one glass, until combined. Set aside to cool before using.
  • Drain the Jebneye after dipping it in the simple sugar syrup.
  • Finally, drizzle with the cheese syrup.
