Luqaimat Stuffed with Cheese

Instructions

• • Put all the dry ingredients in a stand mixer with the hook attachment and mix well.
  • Add the egg, vinegar and vanilla, and then add 1 cup of water and start mixing. Add more water gradually as needed to form a soft dough.
  • Once the flour is completely blended add the butter and knead the dough for 10 minutes.
  • Transfer the dough to an oiled bowl and cover with plastic wrap.
  • Let the dough rise for 1 hour.
  • Transfer the dough onto a floured surface then roll it to approximately 3 mm thickness.
  • Use a round cutter (around 5 cm) and cut the dough into circles.
  • Fill each circle with a piece of Kraft Cheddar Block Cheese.
  • Pull the sides of the dough out and over the cheese to seal well and form a tight ball.
  • Heat deep frying oil over medium heat while you stuff the rest of the dough.
  • Fry the stuffed luqaimat and stir constantly to ensure they get an even golden color.
  • Remove from the oil when the balls are a deep golden color.
  • Drizzle with honey and serve warm.
